About the Recipe

This drink was one of the very first things I learned to make on my own in the kitchen. Others are always impressed with this copy cat version as it is such a good knock off recipe from the real deal. It's a refreshing drink that will surely impress. Once you master the basic recipe, it's easy to make large batches based on your preferences and from what you have on hand. You can easily add strawberries or banana to mimmick some of the other famous julius drinks.

Ingredients

  • 3 oz of frozen orange juice or 3-4 navels, peeled and pitted

  • 1/2 C Milk

  • 1/2 C Water

  • 1/4 C White Sugar or to taste (more if using fresh oranges, less if using frozen concentrate

  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla

  • 5-6 Ice Cubes

Preparation

Put ice in the bottom of a high powered blender first, to help chop up in finer pieces.

Add the rest of the ingredients and blend on high until smooth.

Serve immediately
